Cartomap

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 June 2026

This policy explains how Cartomap (“we”, “us”) handles personal data collected through this website (cartomap.io). We practise data minimisation: this site uses no cookies, no analytics, and no third-party trackers.

The data controller is Cartomap, contactable at sales@cartomap.io.

1. What we collect

  • Information you submit via our “Book a demo” or “Contact” forms: your name, work email, company, and optionally your role, estate size, primary stack, and message.
  • Basic technical data needed to serve and secure the site — your IP address and browser user-agent — processed transiently in server logs.

2. Why we use it & legal basis

We use what you submit solely to respond to your enquiry and arrange a demo or reply. Our legal basis under the GDPR is Article 6(1)(b) (steps taken at your request before a contract) and/or Article 6(1)(f) (our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries you send us).

3. Where it is stored

Your data stays in the EU. Submissions are stored on our server (Hetzner, Helsinki, Finland) and emailed to our team via our email provider (GoDaddy, EU). We never sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.

4. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data only as long as necessary to handle your request and any resulting business relationship, then delete it. If no relationship develops, we delete it within a reasonable period.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and request portability. To exercise any of these, email sales@cartomap.io. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

6. Security

We protect data with encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), a firewalled EU server, and access controls.

7. Changes

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Questions? Email sales@cartomap.io.
